Kamila Sipika

Visual artist based in The Netherlands (with Polish, Brazilian roots).

Nature is rooted at the core of Kamila’s creative inspiration as she works with subjects such as ephemerality, decay, tranquility, folk traditions and timeless plants’ symbolism. Her materials of choice are linens and cotton that serve perfectly the natural pigments, paints and dying the textiles. Her work encourages viewers to consider the relationship between nature and the painting medium, by means of themes, materials or textures.

Additionally, she works as an assistant at creative events, engaging communities into art practices and organises art workshops for kids. She is interested in experimenting with and establishing new painting approaches that combine nature, digital mediums, and traditions.
